Thanksgiving Hostess Gift

Over at The Gaines Gang, Kate showed an easy and really cute Hostess gift for Thanksgiving. I just knew it would be a perfect gift for my bf B! She loves putting mementos and such into frames, and I, of course, love that about her since I am the same exact way. Last weekend I spent the day at B's house to help her 8 month prego self put up and decorate her Christmas tree. B and her hubby T put so much effort into their Griswold decorated house, that I wanted to volunteer and help out with their inside, namely the tree. I can't wait to show you pictures of their house when it is all lit up for the Holidays. Spectacular! 17,000 lights and a lot of work go into that house. Okay I am getting way ahead of myself here. Where was I? Oh right - Thanksgiving Hostess gift. Kate got this great idea from Craftily Ever After and shared it on her blog. It's such a simple but really thoughtful gift. The color of the frame is completely up to you. I chose white, Kate chose black and I think both look great.
Wrap it all in a pretty bow, add a little Fall embellishments and Voila!
Here is a one of the nature inspired ornaments we put on B's Christmas tree. Pine cones with that I hotglued with red ribbons. The Ben & Jerry's ice cream is not part of the tree decor but made the all the times I hot glued my fingers together oh so much more enjoyable.
Be sure to head over to Take the Side Street and read her advice on when you should bring a Hostess gift (Never ever show up to a dinner, party, or even a BBQ empty handed.. Ev.Er).
Craftily Ever After also has this great Thanksgiving print. This one I think I will bring for my my Sister in Law who is hosting Thanksgiving Dinner this year.

  11. I super love the contemporary art frame as a gift! I give art too during Thanksgiving. Though, I give classical ones like oil painting or hand blows glass sculptures (Murano/Russian Artists). I buy my gifts online like ebay, Glasslilies and in art galleries. You can do your own
