Do you fondue?

For Bobbi and a our fondue night.I love to fondue. It always reminds me of The Melting Pot. So when my gf Bobbi suggested that we get together and do a fondue night, I immediately said yes! What can be better then meats simmering in broths, breads dipped in hot cheese sauces, and fruit covered in warm chocolates? Yum!

I found this recipe on gofondue.com - looks delish!

Teriyaki Beef Fondue

Marinade: 3 tbs Soy Sauce, 2 tsp Ginger Root (minced), 1 tbs Vegetable Oil, 1 tbs Honey, 1 tbs Water, 1 clove Garlic (minced)

1 lb Beef Tenderloin (sliced into strips).

In a bowl, whisk together Soy Sauce, Oil, Water, Honey, Ginger and garlic.Add beef strips to bowl and cover. Refrigerate for at least an hour.

Broth: 5 cups beef broth (or 2 cans of Beef Broth and 2 cans of Water), 1/3 cup Soy Sauce, 2 tbs Brown Sugar, 1 tbs Cider Vinegar, 1 tbs Sake, 2 clove Garlic (minced), 1 tbs Ginger Root (minced)

In Fondue Pot or large saucepan, combine Beef Broth, Soy Sauce, Brown Sugar, Vinegar, Sake, Garlic and Ginger and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Spear Beef strips and cook in broth for 3 to 5 minutes.
