First let me mention that I bought this 3 piece set on craigslist for $30. I sprayed the set a chocolate brown and added pillows (the orange ones with the flowers were already owned) and cushions from HomeGoods (I ~heart~ HG). The pillows on the side chairs were only $8 on sale (at HomeGoods)!
This chest was actually my 11 year olds toy chest. That got a nice coat of chocolate brown spray paint as well. Now we use it to store sporting equipment and bicycle helmets.
The tray above was on sale at Target. Originally it was a black tray with white letters on it (the words that were on it escape me). It was sprayed to match the little side table next to the wicker chairs. I plan on adding stenciling to the inside base of the tray, but I can't think of what to stencil on there? Something in Spanish perhaps?
The lanterns up the steps were the old lighting fixtures in the sunroom. Hubby dismantled the wiring when he replaced them with the news ones. I just added a little paint and distressed them. I also added Dollar Store candle tea light holders and placed them under the lanterns. They have no base. I'm not sure if I love this "look" but for now it will stay. It's different.
These candles on the bistro table are also from the Dollar Store. I just wrapped twine up them, glued the ends to make it say and called it a craft. So easy and I think it looks great. There is another candle behind the lantern.
I plan on added a fabric runner on the bistro table and maybe a few cushions on the chairs, but overall I am pleased as punch over this space. I am in no hurry to "complete"it, but for now just enjoy it.
