Taking the oldest off to College and Starting of Slow Cooker Sunday's!

What a week! I can't believe it's Friday already. I just love how this week has just flown by. I have a few projects that I want to share, but now I need the time to get them pictures off my camera and type up a few posts. Yesterday we took the oldest off to college. It was bittersweet to say the least. I was so happy for her, but the thought of sending her out into the world "unprotected", still frightens me. I know she is a smart girl, and takes no crap from anyone, but still, she is my baby.
Here the college girl in the back of the car.. lol  She is packed in there.
Here is the back of the car. Hubby seriously a master car packer. You should see what he can do with a dishwasher.
And here is a picture of the start of doing her dorm. We got the majority of stuff done yesterday, but there still are a few touches "we" would like to add. Thankfully she is in the city, only a 25 minute car ride away. I can make frequent trips :)
Sorry for the grainy pics..

This Sunday is the start of Slow Cooker Sunday's and I am starting it off with a household favorite -
Braised Chicken with Tomatoes and Olives. It's too die for. Trust me.
Have a wonderful Weekend!

(((hugs))) to you for all your experiencing with your baby girl leaving the nest. I am already beginning to get nervous, and I won't experience it until next year. Her dorm room looks very nice, unlike some pics I've seen recently of other freshmen. I especially like the big window. The recipe you posted sounds interesting. What do you plan to serve alongside it?

"you're", not "your" Ugh ... I hate when I do things like that. :)

Sending your child off to collage would be sad and scary. I was upset having to send my son to middle school this year! Of course he is fine and loving it. I'm sure your daughtwr will do great at collage to! That is wonderful that she is still close by. :)

Oh my! You seem like you are handling things well. I can't even think about when my little guy leaves home for college. Sniff!

Thanks for posting on my 10 things about me post! We seem to have a lot in common!

Girl I know how you must have felt...it is exciting but also sad for mama...I know it was for me. Just think she will be back and one day bring more back to the nest.
