For my Christmas decor last year I made an attempted to make Faux Mercury Christmas trees and I actually loved the way they turned out! So when I saw this sweet bird at the Dollar Store, I thought I'll try it again and see how Faux mercury looks on this little guy. I only picked up one just in case it didn't turn out quite right -but look how great it did turn out! I just love it! And it's so simple to do too! Just silver spray and antiquing glaze to give it that "mercury" look. Don't you love the little footed white bowl? I picked it up at my last Thrift Store trip. Along with these other great finds! I can't wait to show you what I have planned for the frame and candle base! I posted this over that Soft Place to Land's DIY Day & Room to Inspire (love these sites!)

Okay, this is absolutley great! I am going to try this. Good job!
Very cute! I have a mirror that I intend to alter to fit the downstairs bath. This should do nicely. Bonus ... I already have the paint from another project!
That is so darn cute. Great job!
so adorable! turned out great.
Oh yeah this is so cute especially sitting in the milk glass. I just started collecting these pieces a few months ago.
Can't wait to see what you do with the frame.
I just popped over from Room to Inspire. Great project! LOVE your milk glass pieces.
Best wishes,
Tammy
