My Merry Mantel

Can you believe Christmas is 8 days away? Have you finished all your shopping yet? How about your baking? No? Me either! I did finish all my decorating though and I'd like to share with you my Holiday Mantel. I love using real garland on the mantel but with the hubby having the fireplace going all the time, it doesn't allow the garland to last very long. My solution this year was to use fake pine garland already strung with lights and then snuggled real branches in there to give it a little boost.
The star that is made of branches was originally going to be the centerpiece but I decided not go with something right in the middle of the mantel, instead I went with using wrought iron pieces, greenery and a few red touches.
Like the poinsettias
and the bow on the star

and the red beads that I strung from stocking to stocking. $4 at Target. Here is mine and the hubby's stockings
and the girls
Monday it's all about my Christmas Tree
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
