Mantle Ideas

My oldest daughter has her Junior Prom coming up! Yes I know, I look waaay to young to have a child that is a junior! Why thank you ;) but it's true. I have a nice size mantle that I want to decorate for her pictures. I just thought it would be a nice backdrop for the pics? Maybe something springy, lots of vases filled with flowers and branches? And of course, I am already searching the web for ideas and her prom is not until the end of April. So question, would it be too much to coordinate the mantle flowers with the color(s) that is in her dress?? We are going this weekend to find the "the" dress, so right now I have no clue. Just wonder?? What do you think?
