My Budget Friendly Closet Makeover

I'm going to show you what I worked on this weekend -My bedroom closet. Now I have to warn you, it's a mess. I don't mean a mess where you walk over a ton of stuff -mess, but a mess in the "lack of storage and function" mess. So I gave it a little overhaul - budget friendly of course. Here are a few befores... Please do not pay any attention to the ugly peach walls. That color was there when we moved in 6 years ago. I never noticed how ugly it was until I wanted to organize that closet. So just imagine those walls a soft soothing blue - gray color. That's the color is will be once I repaint the Master.

Close-up of the shoe boxes and all that mess that I cleared out of the closet.
Just keeping it real here people
and now - AFTERIsn't it great? All storage containers were purchased from the Dollar Store. The labels are just scrap paper, ribbons and adhesive letters. The hubby made me the 2 shoe shelves (out of MDF). They were measured to perfectly fit my shoes (that's my favorite thing in the closet) and do you see that burlap "bags" box? That's actually a Pampers box that I got for free from my girlfriend Bobbi. I covered it in burlap and trimmed it with leftover ribbon that I had on hand. I'll show you that super easy project later on.

So what do you thing?

I linked this project over at A Soft Place to Land's DIY day

Nice! You did a wonderful job. It goes to show you don't have to invest a boat load of money to have a nice organized space.

I also think it's funny how you have a basket dedicated to "Coach."
