Loving that Farmhouse style

I need a new dining set, ok need is not exactly correct, want is more like it. You see my current dining set is a little dated. It's an oval shaped oak table with 4 very country looking chairs. It was perfect when we 1st bought our 1st home 12 years ago, but now it just screams "I'm so Old and Dated"! Really it does, trust me I heard it.
The hubby has been fighting me on this purchase, and I actually have been pretty understanding to his reasons- until now. It's getting tiresome and I would reall love (want) a new set desperately. I'm perfectly willing to compromise on this (after all I am a giving person). I will spend the least amount of money possible to get the look that I want. Plus I am putting the old set on craigslist (hopefully this weekend) and I hope to make enough money to go towards the new table and chairs. Again, I'm a GIVER...
So what do I love (want)?
This..
A farmhouse style dining table. I have been lusting after one for years - Years I tell yah
Isn't it dreamy?
And here is my fave (and not because there is wine on the table)
This all goes perfectly with my dream of one day having a Farmhouse Style Kitchen. one day.

I just love the farmstyle tables too! I reccomend getting one with a solid top. If you get one with planks of wood you are constantly fighting to get crumbs and such out of the cracks,

The farmhouse table is oh so dreamy. I keep playing with ideas of what to put in my own *forever* home. Sadly my current dining room table must be refinished...just have yet to do it. Why do we put something off when we know the results will be so worth it?

Love your little corner of blog world here.

Cheers~

Ooh, I love farmhouse tables. You could always just build your own?? http://ana-white.com/2009/12/plans-farmhouse-table-knock-off-of.html

I made bunk beds from that site, and if I can do it anybody can. Or some husbands are quite handy and willing to help out ;)
