Weekend Recap and progress with the paint

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was spent hanging out with family, making yummy meals and almost painting my kitchen. Yes almost :( Seemed the kitchen walls needed a little bit more spackled work on them before we could paint. We did get to prime most of the walls. So close! Here is the room as is.

Yes, its a mess in there and I am ok with it. Really I am. Notice the wording (and the original wall color) on the wall? I did not want to lose the wording so we are going to frame it to look like a sign. I just hope it works.

Here are the paint samples that I have been agonizing over for WEEKS! I have asked just about everyone that came into my house to tell me their opinion on a color. Weeks I tell yah!

I narrowed my choices down to 2. Valspar's Portico and Carolina Inn Aqua Club (the top 2 on the far left). I finally decided on CIAC and I can not wait to see it on the walls. I think the color will go great with the cabinets and the antique glaze on the cabinets. Almost like Spa meets French Country.
Oh and remember the Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos I mentioned I was making this weekend? Here they are with yellow sazon rice, refried beans and all the fixings. Yum.
