Flowers and Molding

A few years ago the hubby was looking for manly things to do around the house and he asked if I would be intertested in a "window" between the kitchen and the dining room. His reasons were so we could see into the rooms while entertaining or catching the game on TV. After he assured me that the house would not crumble to the ground, I told him sure go for it. Am I glad he had this great idea and that I trusted him to do it, because I just love it. It adds the perfect decorative element to our the space. Throw in Spring flowers and a few pretty vases into the design mix and sure feels like Spring is in da house. Literally.

The mandatory close up of the molding. The hubby did it all. The boy gooood.
Isn't this votive lotus candle holder lovely? I won it last year
The petite pink vases are from Ikea. I wonder if I am the only one that collects all kinds of jars, vases, anything that can hold flowers and I mean anything. I have a collection that is just too embarrassing to show. If it's cool looking and can hold water..I save it. It's a sickness. Am I the only one?

This square vase is from Pottery Barn. Gorgeous.

Sure signs that Spring is finally here (I freakin refuse to acknowledge the wintry mix we had on Friday).
Mother Nature is definitely a tease.

Psst one of the reasons I haven't shown you my kitchen is because of this. It's the other side of the cut out. The kitchen side. That's the old paint color and missing molding.

Hmm. Now why do I feel like I just showed you my dirty laundry?

Hubby did a great job! And how lucky are you that he is LOOKING to do manly jobs around the house! Most of us have to beg, or in my case, give it up occasionally. Crap! Did I just say that??

Everything is so Springy. Thanks so much for linking up to my Swing into Spring party. Don't forget to stop back and grab a party button and either add it to your post or your sidebar. Also, don't forget to become a follower (if you aren't already). Thanks.
