My girl crush

Megan Fox is simply gorgeous, oh and she has really cool tattoos. What's not to love? The girl is just hot. I've been thinking about getting a new tattoo (to cover up the one I have) on my wrist. I want something bigger than the little star I have right now (see pic). I love Megan's tribal symbol that she has on her wrist. Sexy.. So who is your girl crush??
Here is my little star:

pillow talk

I have 2 of these and need pillows for them.
I'm thinking I would like to pick 2 from these:

An office I can see myself in!

Now that I am redoing my living room (new bookcases = new room), I have a ton of black framed pics that were previously all on one wall in said room. I had no clue what I was going to do with them UNTIL I saw this post on House of Turquoise. It's PERFECT. Exactly what I am looking to do with the pictures. Add that to the fact that the room is already painted turquoise and I already have a huge white desk. Gorgeous!

I *heart*

One day I will own a Sub-Zero Glass front Refrigerator/Freezer. I know I have to drive the hubby nuts with my obsession with this, but I don't care. He drives me nuts with his obsession to wander around Lowe's or Home Depot for 2 hours (makes us about even). I think it takes a very anal person to own a glass front fridge. Not a problem for me, since my fridge is clean and organized. I told you I was anal. I LOVE IT!

just cause..

This room makes me happy.

Bookcase on the brain!

I'm obsessed on how I am going to arrange my new bookcases.
finally painted!
A few styles that are inspiring!!

What Kind of Hostess Are You?

According to Martha’s quiz, I am a Thoughtful Hostess. I lost a few points for not doing everything hand-made and not wrapping the left-over meals. Wrapping left-overs? I scored points on making favors for parties and setting out special hand towels in the guest bath.

You can also compare your quiz answers with how other participants answered.

I'm not ashamed to say I clip coupons.. Every weekend I get my Sunday paper and my coffee. I sit, read and then clip. I save, on average about $20 per shopping trip! My coupon holder is falling apart, so I thought why not get a stylish new one..
How adorable are these from Austinartisan on Etsy? I can't decide which one I want..

I don't blame her one bit..
I don't remember the award he was handing out.. I dont even remember who he was with .. all I could see was ....

sigh...

So, last night's Oscar's were actually pretty good, not the best, but definitely not the worst. It actually had a bunch of bright spots and some kind dull. So was I thrilled Slumdog Millionaire swept the whole damn thing? No, not really cause I didn't see the damn movie yet! I have plans to see it soon (or on video, whichever comes 1st) Was Hugh Jackman simply gorgeous and so much fun to watch? Yes! I admit it was a tad weird in the beginning to watch him break into a song and dance. I was expecting a little Wolverine hotness on the stage, not the Broadway star. Regardless he did a great job!! What I did love was the presentation of the individual performance awards by five past winners. I'm not ashamed to say I teared up a bit when each actor praised the nominees. Very cool. The show and awards themselves are only a secondary to me, fashion as we know, ALWAYS comes first. I did think a few actresses played it safe last night.. Angelina Jolie was one. I was expecting more of a "wow" factor for her. The dress was plain. I guess eh was expecting the jewelry to be the "wow". There were a few that I thought were just stunning.. Natalie Portman and Halle Berry were hands down, my favorite.

I had a few WTF's though:
Why was Miley even there and WTF was with the "Christmas tree decorated with tinsel" look??

Spring fever

Spring means my Peonies will start to grow.. sigh...

Have a great weekend!!

Quiz: What's your decorating style?

I can't seem to remember where I found this quiz, but Sproost is another fun little quiz to help you learn about your decorating style. Just rate the rooms from "Love It" to "Hate It." I turned out to be 39% Classic, 30% Wine Country style, and 31% Modern Elegance. Here are a few of those styled rooms that I LOVED..

NARS and MARC

The 80's were back at the Marc Jacob's Fall 2009 Fashion Show last night. The hair was BIG. Mohawks, twisted updos, crazy curly fros and leaning towers of hair?? I can't imagine the amount of hairspray that was used at this show! Marc Jacobs had 65 models with 65 different looks. Will you look at all that Makeup? That's my idea of Heaven!
Strong 80's eyes seemed to also be the theme for the night. I gotta say, I was not that impressed with most of Marc's Fall line. A few pieces here and there, but overall??? Not a fan. Two words for you SHOULDER PADS? WTH? Well at least the makeup was fierce.
Check out here for Marc's Fall line to see what I mean.

Bookcases, Tapas and other stuff

This weekend was a crazy busy weekend.. as usual. Friday night was a trip to the mall where I found my feather headband. I went to Bebe and they had one for $24.99. I decided to check out Charlotte Russe and I found it for $3.99!! Can't beat that! Saturday was Tapas Night at my girlfriend Bobbi's house (clouds in my coffee). It was so much fun. I volunteered to bring 2 dishes and wine. I just can't pass up a chance to cook a new kind of food. I decided to make Albondigas and Patatas Bravas. I also picked up a bottle of Rioja and made Pomegranate Sangria. The sangria was delicious, well so was the wine! I think everything I made was a hit. If you have never been to a tapas party, you must do one. Bobbi and Tony did a wonderful job with the choices of foods and the decor. Everything was delicious! It really was a great time.

The excited renovations being made in my house are the custom made bookcases being added in my living room. The plan is to have this room be our "entertaining" room. This is step one. The hubby and my BIL Steve worked on the bookcases all day Sunday. I am in heaven at the progress. Here are pics of the wall in progress and what the final product should look like. I just have to say, my husband is the most generous man I have ever known. I really mean this. I am one lucky woman.

I already know what this coming weekend plans are... Spackle, primer and painting and I CAN'T Wait!

Covergirl Lipstain - a review!

I've been seeing alot of reviews on the new Covergirl Outlast lipstains. So I decided to see what the hype was all about. While at CVS the other night, I saw that they were on sale for $4.99, for that price, I just HAD to try it. Covergirl's lipstains are water-based; they feel very light and dry quickly. I picked up "Flirty nude". Hardly "nude", more of brownish red. A great color for me nonetheless. I applied the lipstain yesterday at 7:30AM, and it was still on at 4pm yesterday! Even when I applied my Rosebud lipbalm over it, it still didn't budge. I was a little surprised how this lipstain went on, almost like a felt point pen. It was very wet going on, you have to almost draw it on your lips. Very cool. I'd recommend against applying the lipstain when your lips are cracked, feathering, etc., because the stain will adhere to the damaged parts, and make your lips look like they're bleeding. ick. The next color I will pick up is "cinnamon smile". It was my 1st choice, but they were all out.
Covergirl Outlast Lipstains: Lip stains, lip stain, lipstain, Everbloom Kiss, Berry Smooch, Bit of Blossom, Teasing Blush, Sassy Mauve, Plum Pout, Coy Coral, Flirty Nude, Wild Berry Wink, Cinnamon Smile

Spell it out Design - and my 300th post!

How adorable are these Chalkboard Wall decals?? This would look PERFECT in my oldest daughter's bedroom. She has Delia's Victorian bed set, with lots of french accents throughout the room. And for $25 who can beat that? Check out Spell it out Designs on Etsy for more creative styles. I think I am going to go with the Victorian.
