Craving a change

I live a very blessed life. I know this. I have 2 great kids, an amazing husband, a home I am proud of, amazing friends that I can count on and I love my job. But lately I have been thinking about a change. I look back at this past year and although it was a really good year, I can't seem to remember what I did in this past year just for me? What time did I make for me? Does that seems selfish? Well I don't think so. I'm a firm believer in making yourself happy so that you are a better person for the people that matter in your lives. Now this is in no means a complaint about my life, but more of a realization of sorts. I'm really am proud of all that I have in my life, but what am I doing for me? I look into the new year and I realize I have no plans. That just amazes me because I am a planner. That's a big part of who I am. I love plans. So many things to think about. To plan. Do I want to take more time this year to blog? Do more projects around the house? Is that what I want to do this year? Yes - maybe? I don't know because I haven't even thought about it yet! One thing I do know is this blog reflects how proud I am of what I have accomplished in my home and in my life. I do not plan on stopping it. I'm craving more of change within me. Does this make and sense at all? I feel like I am babbling...
So I ask what are you going to do for yourself this year? Are you craving a change? Plan on learning a new craft? Maybe getting a degree? What plans do you have just for you in 2011?

Sometimes we all need a change. Take some time to reflect on what isn't going the way you want it to. When I first started blogging I felt it helped fill a void - creativity. Good luck on your search.

I couldn't agree with you more. We all need to make time for ourselves. As a stay at home mom I often wonder what my days will be like after my kids are older and have started their own lives. I enjoy being here with them and wouldn't want it any other way, but sometimes I wonder what I'll do with myself once they grow up. Good luck in finding your rainbow...

Beautifully worded post. I set goals every year and always find that while I make some progress in them I end up growing in ways I did not expect. Best wishes to you in this new year.

My action plan is to stay in the present this year. Simple. Yet, hard to do.

You aren't babbling! It is so important to set goals so that you feel like you're accomplishing things. For me, its hard not to get overwhelemed with simply house/job goals. I like to take some time to set "me" goals and relationship goals, especially with the hubby! This is definitely a really good post with a very positive perspective! :)
